Application Process
Yes, you read that correctly! There is an actual, step-by-step process that Coven Council goes through every time we take Applicants for Dedicant Status. We only take new Dedicants in years ending in odd numbers, provided the space is available. You can read all about that in the Membership Policies section of the MSC Policies Handbook here.
Once your application has been reviewed, you’ll be sent an email with either (a) an invite to the Meet And Greet at a public place of our choosing, or (b) a notice that your application was not accepted. If, and only if, you attend one of the two Meet And Greets, we’ll consider you for Core Classes (i.e., Dedicant status).
After the Meet And Greet, Coven Council will meet to discuss your application, how the Meet And Greet went, and how we perceived your energies. We have 14 business days after the second Meet And Greet to review, and discuss applications. Once we’ve done that, we’ll send you an email with either (a) a notification that you’ve been accepted into the Coven as a Dedicant, with information about when, and where to attend Orientation, or (b) a notification that we are not a good fit for you at this time.
Before you ask …
Please don’t email us or message us on Facebook asking questions like, Where do I stand on this list? or What’s my status? or When will I know if I’m accepted? We will not answer those questions. When you sign up for the Waiting List, you’re not signing up for membership, you’re signing up to be notified that you can apply.
This is a waiting list for you to be notified when the Application becomes available. You are one of hundreds of people who are waiting to fill out an application to join us. At last count (which was March, 2024), there were nearly 300 people waiting to fill out the application. Most of them probably won’t.
Regardless, you still have to go through the same Application Process (above) that everyone else does, and that means that FIRST, you have to be on the Waiting List. You can get on the Waiting List below.
